Bethany is a communications & public relations professional with 11 years of experience in healthcare and higher education. She is a graduate of The University of Tennessee Knoxville and earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, concentrating in Servant Leadership, in Columbus, GA at Columbus State University. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Chris, for 11 years and they have two beautiful boys, Colton (6) and Anderson (2).
God laid a calling on Bethany’s heart for orphan care after having served on several international missions teams throughout her adolescence and college years. After finding ways to be apart of the international adoption world for a decade, her understanding of what was happening in her own backyard in terms of children in need grew once she moved back home to East Tennessee.
Bethany was familiar with the amazing work that was happening in Austin, TX through Austin Angels. When she learned that they were launching National Angels chapters across the country, she began to ask God for discernment and peace about a Knoxville Angels chapter. After an interest call with Susan Ramirez, CEO of Austin Angels, Bethany never looked back. She was introduced to Kayla McCollom (now Knoxville Angels VP), who had also reached out to National Angels, and together they set out to launch a local chapter with dreams of changing the way children in our own community experience the foster care system. Knoxville has an amazing community of people and organizations serving the local foster care community, and Bethany feels so honored and blessed to get to be apart of that community through Knoxville Angels.
